About Meditation

Meditation can enhance our ability to concentrate, decrease our stress levels, balance our emotional states and put our world into perspective. It can open us up to a part of ourselves that is free from judgment, free from expectation and free from desire. A part of ourselves that is content, present, peaceful and joyful.
We work with our busy minds and practice how to come to a place of peace and equilibrium. In challenging times, meditation can bring us back to the present moment and reduce the time we spend fretting and worrying and feeling fearful and anxious. Imagine for a moment what it would be like to have evenness of mind, to be able to calm the stormy seas of your mind.., what would that feel like? how might your day be?
Our Meditation Teacher - Gitaji
I am a dedicated, authentic, joyful meditation teacher with demonstrated capabilities in different traditions and techniques. My skill-set includes meditation, mindfulness, pranayama, and gentle Hatha yoga. I am passionate about raising awareness of how meditation can reduce stress and bring balance to everyday life. I show people how to still a busy, agitated mind and how to find a calm centre in the “storms” of everyday life.
I have been practicing meditation and mindfulness techniques for more than 12 years with recognized formal qualifications in both Meditation and Yoga, as well as membership, registration and insurance with Meditation Australia and Yoga Australia. I have been teaching meditation to beginners and experienced students since 2015 in workplaces and yoga studios, both on-line and in class. During the past 10 years, I have been studying yogic philosophy and practices at Living Peace Yoga with my teacher Hanuman Das, developing the skills and nurturing the joy to teach, lead and share meditation.
